  • The CSU-VTH has consistently been ranked in the top 5 veterinary teaching hospitals in North America over the last several decades. This achievement is driven by a strong commitment to advancing veterinary care standards through cutting-edge research. Additionally, we support the One Health initiative by leveraging animals as superior translational models in various fields, from cancer therapeutics to osteoarthrosis etiology and control.

Part of being a top tier research university means the continuous evolution of resources to elevate the quality of the body of knowledge we are providing. Creating this position will help with the advanced imaging needs of the CSU-VHS, supporting both the clinical services as well as greatly increasing the research capabilities by providing technical and consultative services for grant writing and promoting consistency in image analysis.

    • Optimize the use and utility of advanced imaging resources that currently exist within the VHS including developing new workflow and study protocols.
    • Assist in trial design where imaging is a primary objective or a component including establishment of imaging protocols/quality control measures and reporting metrics before the study commences.
    • Mentor young investigators and house officers with projects related to advanced imaging.
    • Act as principal or co-investigator in clinically based research projects and facility grants, participate in scientific presentations, and author manuscripts.
    • Establish successful external collaborative opportunities to forge multi-institutional research goals and partnerships with industry, consortia, and other academic (human and veterinary medicine) institutions.
