    Vail Resorts is always looking for great talent.  Although our resorts and offices are currently closed to protect the health and safety of our employees, applications are still being accepted. Hiring will resume as soon as normal operations resume.

     

    The Public Safety Officer will provide property owners, guests, day visitors, contractors and employees with an exceptional guest service experience and greet all guests in a friendly, inviting and welcoming manner on a daily basis both at the Main gate and at individual residences.  Respond to alarms and emergencies. Know and enforce all Arrowhead rules, regulations and covenants for owners and guests staying in or visiting Arrowhead. Problem solving and sound decision making based on knowledge of the guidelines and procedures of Arrowhead. Provide and protect an atmosphere respecting the confidentiality and privacy of guests and property owners.  Documentation of all that is done on your shift in a clear and concise manner.  Working scheduled shifts (10 hours) and covering shifts at all hours, including overnight and holidays.

     

    Other duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Answer calls and complaints, and giving pertinent information to property owners & guests
    • Analysis and resolution of difficult situations and conversations in a nonconfrontational manner
    • Observe the state or condition of the community (structures & activity surrounding) for unusual or hazardous conditions as well as reporting & aiding in the resolution of any problems
    • Coordinating efforts with other departments within the community to resolve troublesome situations. 
    • Respond to residential & commercial alarms
    • Operation & familiarity of residential & commercial alarm panels and systems along with general knowledge of domestic water sensors and mechanical systems
    • Communicating with other Arrowhead departments & fellow AHPS staff in a clear, concise, and professional manner in both written and verbal form to ensure awareness of situations of concern
    • Proper documentaion of community incidents and general activity
    • Control access at main and remote gates
    • Maintaining traffic control and parking organization with the Arrowhead Skier Lot requiring standing, outside in cold weather for multiple hours
    • Patrol of the entire Arrowhead community both on foot or in a vehicle including the garage, village, and river areas
    • Cleaning AH vehicles and gate house (including bathroom)
    • Writing and issuing parking violations notices and directing the public in the proper use of parking spaces
    • Writing and issuing Arrowhead association violation notices
    • Use of Microsoft Office programs
    • Use of computerized and mechanical gate operation systems
    • Operation of secure key storage system and package delivery (involves lifting & carrying up to 50 lbs.)
    • Vehicle jumpstarts, unlocks and tow strap use
    • Snow removal (shovelling) from gate house and external gate areas
    • Safe operation of Pepper Ball launching bear deterrent equipment
    • Having or obtaining and maintaining CPR/First Aid certification
    • Providing and protecting an atmosphere respecting the confidentiality and privacy of guests and property owners
    • Proper and safe handling of AHPS vehicles and equipment as well as use of provided personal protective equipment

     

    Schedule - Four 10 hour shifts per week.  This could include weekends and overnight shifts as needed.

    Job Summary: 

    The Beaver Creek Lift Maintenance team is currently seeking qualified Lift Electrical Team Lead to join our Lift Electrical crew. This is a leadership position within Mountain Operations and holds the responsibility of establishing and maintaining positive relationships, management of personnel and resources, and developing a team of qualified Lift Electrical Technicians. Along with other members of the team, a qualified candidate will perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance as well as troubleshooting on a variety of electrical, electro-mechanical, industrial control systems and commercial equipment including low voltage AC controls, DC controls, motors and drives. Duties also include assisting maintenance management and/or personnel with the implementation of maintenance programs including SCADA systems, scheduling of projects and personnel, and installing electrical and electronic upgrades on ski lifts. This is year-round full-time outdoor work in a mountainous environment that will involve climbing and working at height on ski lift towers.

    • Create and maintain active partnerships with operational leadership.  
    • Develop finance & business presentations for Mountain leadership that can effectively summarize materials into key assumptions, risks/opportunities and decision points. 
    • Produce key FP&A deliverables for operating budget, capital budget, monthly forecasting, cost control, and P&L reviews. 
    • Track progress on multiple priorities and workstreams across the Mountain FP&A organization, and contributing to process planning

    Our Corporate Accounting team is hiring a new leader to become the Senior Manager of Retail Rental Revenue and Inventory Accounting.  This role reports to the Senior Director of Revenue and Inventory Accounting.

     

    As a member of the Vail Resorts Finance organization, the Accounting Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value. The Retail Rental Revenue and Inventory Accounting Senior Manager role is integral in leading our month end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal controls. The Senior Manager is a crucial resource providing leadership and partnering with various teams within the finance organization, IT, field operations, and 3rd party vendor support to provide a seamless guest experience. This individual will support the accounting department from an operational and accounting management perspective. Responsibilities include journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliation and analysis, compliance with SOX requirements and ability to assist with SOX walk-throughs. This manager will have 2 direct reports and partner with the offshore team ensuring all company retail rental and inventory activities are accurate and accounted for timely. Other responsibilities will include an assortment of monthly and quarter end support which include KPI and performance based metrics. Annually, this role will ensure a successful physical inventory count across the majority of our retail rental stores. Additionally, provide subject matter expert guidance and functional leadership for integration of mergers & acquisitions, implementation & enhancements of systems and ad-hoc projects.  This job requires the ability to meet deadlines, keen attention to detail, act as an agent of change and process improvement minded.  An enthusiastic team player with a can-do attitude, strong work ethic. 

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide leadership to the inventory accounting team which oversees $60M-$100M in inventory at any given time across our US and Canadian operations
    • Prepare and review monthly reconciliations and journal entries, as well as, provide fluctuation analysis 
    • Ensure compliance with key controls, ensure timely completion of tasks, identify and mitigate risk in processes
    • Publish monthly KPI metrics and detailed analytics to provide compliance and performance insight
    • Partner with multiple technology teams on software upgrades and system enhancements in MMS, Aptos, and PeopleSoft Financial ERP
    • Rental revenue recognition for the My Epic Gear program and rental advanced deposits
    • Organize annual physical inventory count with 3rd party, process count data and report shrink to leadership
    • Provide subject matter expert guidance and functional leadership for integration of mergers & acquisitions, implementation & enhancements of systems and ad-hoc projects.
    • Ability to lead and complete projects  
    • Leadership responsibilities to coach and develop high performing team and partner with our offshore team

    Job Summary:  

    Our Experienced Vehicle Maintenance team executes safety best practices to the best of our ability and maintains a fun, friendly, and positive attitude every day with all guests and employees. We are an internally based guest service department; we want to make sure we leave our teams with a positive experience. This role provides maintenance and repair services for our state of the art fleet. This position is eligible for a tool allowance, ski pass, along with other benefits.

    Job Responsibilities: 

    • Utilize vehicle and equipment technical knowledge, skills, and abilities to optimize equipment downtime, which includes and not limited to:  

    • Gas / Diesel Engine Repair and Diagnosis 

    • Drive Train Repair and Diagnosis 

    • Electrical Repair and Diagnosis 

    • Brake System Repair and Diagnosis 

    • Steering and Suspension Repair and Diagnosis 

    • Preventative Maintenance on Fleet Vehicles 

    • Welding / Fabrication  

    • Hydraulics  

    • Engages around priorities to foster engagement, collaboration, and results 

    • Supports the professional growth and development of employees across all levels of the organization 

    • Other duties as assigned 

     

    Job Requirements:

    • 2+ years experience

    • Vehicle maintenance experience, especially with types of vehicles in our fleet, or mechanical aptitude 

    • Must have a valid driver’s license / clean DMV record 

    • Must have own tools or be willing to purchase as necessary 

    • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds regularly 

     

    The expected pay range is $23.00 - $27.94. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
