Job Description
- 3 Years Labor and Delivery experience required- this is A MUST
- BLS, ACLS, NRP required.
- Some previous travel experience is preferred but not required
1. # L&D Beds 10
2. # OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections 2 OR- 2 PACU areas.
3. # Triage beds- No specified triage area, triage in any available rooms
4. # Postpartum beds 12, 6 additional postpartum beds attached to the NICU rooms
5. # Births per Month? 80-90 Year? 1013 last year
6. Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? Yes
7. Experience or 'Must have' skills – 3years experience as an L&D RN
8. Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift? Yes, Both on each shift Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes, most of the time charge RN has an assigment, but tries to take light assignment in order to be resource and help with transitions.
9. OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? Anesthesia in house 24/7? OB provider is not required to be in house, but there is a sleep room, they are typically in house when there is a high-risk situation. Neonatal Nurse practitioner is in house 24/7. Anesthesia in house 24/7. Trauma surgeon in house 24/7 if needed for emergencies.
