Role Overview:
GCFO is seeking a manager to join our innovative team. This role is not only a leadership position within our firm but also a critical part of our expansion strategy of acquiring and integrating other accounting and tax practices. In this role you will join the leadership team of a recently acquired practice, partnering with the existing leadership team to take the practice to the next level. The successful candidate will own client relationships and revenue portfolio and actively participate in business development. You are both a seasoned tax expert who doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves and an entrepreneur who wants to build a business. This is a unique opportunity to be on the partner/owner track and manage your P&L within a rapidly growing company.
Job Location: 100% Remote
Key Responsibilities:
• Possess 7-15 years of experience in tax, including at least 4 years in public accounting, with a strong background in handling transactions for family offices.
• Demonstrate extensive experience in handling transactions specific to family offices, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of financial activities.
• Deliver white-glove, high-end servicing to high-profile clients, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Manage and prepare complex tax returns for various entities, including real estate holdings, trusts, and family members, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Stay informed of industry trends and tax law changes, proactively advising clients on potential impacts and opportunities to optimize their tax position.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-6 tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Demonstrate expertise in managing and preparing complex tax returns, with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying client savings opportunities.
• Exhibit the potential and ambition to eventually become a partner, contributing to the firm's long-term success and growth.
• Foster and expand client relationships as a key advisor and partner in their financial
strategy and growth
Qualifications:
● Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA).
● Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong leadership qualities.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to clients and team members.
● In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax codes, with a demonstrated ability to manage and navigate complex tax situations successfully.
