We are seeking a Mechatronics Intern to join our Pueblo, Colorado team for the summer of 2025. This individual will learn how to operate in a real mill setting and interact with plant personnel, as well as external suppliers and contractors to execute manufacturing based projects.
  • Must passionately follow health and safety practices
  • Maintain, analyze, and draft reports related to data and performance
  • Interact with all levels of personnel and communicate professionally in written and verbal form
  • Read electrical schematics and perform electrical assembly
  • Pneumatic component and controls assembly
  • Safety protocol and sensors including light curtains
  • PLC programming
  • Sourcing and purchasing automation components
  • Electro mechanical diagnostic activity
  • Working with production to implement new equipment
  • Vision System programming to replace human Inspection
  • Plan and document control system design, test, verification and maintenance documents
  • Maintain good attendance and perform other related duties as assigned


Requirements
  • Pursuing a technical engineering degree
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Suite and Power BI
  • Heavy industrial experience, preferred
  • Be curious and eager/open to learning new skills
  • Ability to organize and motivate teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity, preferred
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment, which will include inside and outside environmental conditions


Term
  • May-August 2025, following commencement of Spring Semester


Compensation
  • Undergraduate experience $22.55 - $24.72 per hour
  • Graduate experience $25.41 - $26.17 per hour
