Position:
- Sit-Down / Reach Forklift Operators
- Material Handler
Shift/ Hours:
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
*50-55 hours/week
Pay Rate: $18.50 – $19.60 per hour
Location: Morrison , IL
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate sit-down propane and diesel forklifts in outdoor conditions
- Load and unload materials onto vans, trailers, and flatbeds using forklifts
- Set up and calibrate machinery for mulch, soil, and case goods production
- Perform routine machine operations and minor troubleshooting
- Assist in loading and unloading products onto the production line for packaging
- Fill bags with soil, dirt, or mulch, ensuring proper sealing and preparation for shipment
- Shrink-wrap and organize bags for distribution and transport
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper materials are available for production
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including equipment and machinery
- Follow all safety protocols while operating forklifts, machinery, and working on the production floor
Requirements:
- Forklift Operators: 1-2 years of experience (recertification available)
- Material Handler: 1-2 years with material handling in a manufacturing or production setting preferred
- Ability to work in fluctuating weather conditions (hot, cold, dirt, and mud)
- Must be able to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays when required
