Field Service Mechanic in Water/Wastewater Industry
Up to 90% Travel
Location:
Golden, CO or Remote based
General Description:
Services products and equipment as assigned. Starts up, identifies, analyzes, and repairs instruments and products at customer’s location. Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, installations and modifications as needed or requested by customers. Performs training at customer site. Troubleshoot basic control circuits. Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
Essential Functions:
Assumes responsibility, performing preventative maintenance, site surveys start-ups and repairs, installations and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
Assumes responsibility for determining the best method to resolve problems encountered at the customer site and for accurately describing problems and communicating with the customers.
Acts as a liaison between customer and Company providing feedback to Business Units.
Provides trip reports in a timely manner and maintains records as required.
Manages own travel arrangements to minimize costs.

Education:
High School diploma
Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus
Experience:
3+ years operation/troubleshooting experience in Water and/or Wastewater industry, required
3+ years of Field Service experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of PLC products and associated programming
Thorough technical knowledge of assigned products
Excellent written and verbal skills
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to read mechanical and technical drawings
Travel:
Ability to travel up to 90%.
