HOURLY RATE: $16.00 - 16.00 per hour (based on relevant experience)

SUMMARY:

The Facility Attendant ensures the highest standards of customer service and patron experience for The Lincoln Center & Center for Creativity - City of Fort Collins. This position acts as front-line staff for all building activities and building security, reporting to the Facility & Events Coordinator (CC) and Facility Services Coordinator (LC).

Provides support as an individual contributor or part of team in the areas of facility, custodial, event preparation, and performance. Responsibilities may include cleaning all spaces, setting and striking equipment, tables, chairs, audio visual equipment, and kitchen equipment in all areas of the facility. Supports all events, performances, and full-time staff as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.

Within the time scheduled:

* Sets up and strikes equipment throughout the facility (tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, linens, etc.).
* Clean all surfaces within the building and the exterior grounds. (lint, dust, dirt, toilets, floors, furniture event spaces, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, theatres, dressing room, etc.).
* Responsible for cleaning all event spaces before/after events.
* Responsible for cleaning all performance theatres before, after, and in-between shows (theatre house, backstage/greenroom, dressing room, and associated event spaces).
* Responsible for completing daily/weekly/monthly cleaning & maintenance tasks.
* Responsible for collection and proper disposal of waste, recycling, and compost materials.
* Responsible for surface repairs throughout the facility and/or submitting Work Requests for significant/unresolvable damages.
* Responsible for facility needs of the events, theatre performances, and activities while on duty.
* Monitors and secures the facility as needed.
* Monitors kitchen safety and safe food handling when caterers are present.
* Responsible for snow removal with shovels, blowers, broom, etc. and maintain sidewalks and patio as needed.
* Utilizing relationships with co-workers, provided resources, and tools to ensure building readiness and safety.
* Effective use of communication through Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook email, When I Work, and Momentus on a regular, daily basis.
* Responsible for communicating availability up to 30-days in advance.
* Functions as a member of a team and works collaboratively with their co-workers to provide specific activities, resources, and services to the public.
* Responsible for completing additional tasks assigned by the Facility & Events Coordinator (CC) and/or Facility Services Coordinator (LC).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is not responsible for the supervision of employees.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Ability to work non-business, variable hours based on building needs. Shifts may vary from 5am-2am on any given day. Shift lengths may vary from 2 hours to 8 hours on any given day.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, event management software, and scheduling software.
* Self-Starter with the ability to take initiative, complete assigned tasks, work through conflict, arrive at a resolution, and problem solve under time constraints. Use organization, stress, and time management skills.
* Ability to operate a variety of cleaning, event, and audio-visual equipment including, but not limited to, table and chair cart/dolly, kitchen equipment, vacuums, leaf and snow blower, upholstery cleaner, floor/carpet equipment, hammer, screwdrivers, ladders, paint equipment and various hand tools, standard office equipment including copiers and motor vehicles.
* Ability to use checklists, maps, and computer programs to access all information, and document completion of tasks.
* Ability to take direction from supervisor or team lead and act individually.
* Ability to solve and implement practical solutions to problems.
* Ability to foresee and initiate proactive measures to ensure program quality, customer service and facility safety and integrity.

Education and Experience:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
* Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, speak, understand, and write.
* One year custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, event setup, kitchen experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

Certificates and Licenses:

* Preferred CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
* Preferred Food Safety & Handling Certification

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

* Intense physical work including movement for up to 8 hours at a time.
* Traversing long distances, on a multi-level building using stairs, corridors, or elevators.
* Frequently, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, crawl, reach, pull and push, which may require work on the floor or in tight spaces.
* Strength and stamina enough to operate cleaning equipment, move objects up to 50 pounds. Push/Pull wheeled items up to 150 lbs.
* Work in a stationary position while sitting or standing.
* Manual dexterity enough to operate equipment and tools.
* Ability to make continuous or repetitive arm-hand movements including tasks requiring a full range of motion to reach up and out.
* Use of and climbing of ladders. The employee is occasionally required to stand, ascend/descend, or balance at a height up to 20ft.
* Sufficient vision to operate equipment and distinguish between items on written & electronic means of communication, including chemical labels & safety data sheets.
* Effective communication skills to interpret work schedules, job duties and convey information to the public and supervisor(s).

Working Environment:

* Work is performed in multi-use performing arts and conference facilities which have a dynamic and changing event and activity schedule.
* Work variable hours including early morning, afternoon, evening, and late-night shifts both during the week, weekends, and some holidays. Employees will work alone or as an unsupervised team.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate."
