This role is primarily involved in the Medical Device industry and carries out vital duties related to managing and optimizing the accounts payable function.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, including the processing of vendor payments, expense reimbursements, and invoices.
• Design, implement, and manage efficient accounts payable processes, policies, and internal controls to support growth and compliance needs.
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts payable ledgers each month and at year-end, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure high quality service and support.
• Collaborate effectively with other teams such as Procurement, Treasury, and Accounting to align cross-functional operations.
• Identify opportunities for automation and lead the implementation of technology and tools related to accounts payable.
• Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate accounts payable performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Uphold compliance with regulations like SOX, GAAP, and other relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Accounts Payable team to further enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Ability to efficiently use Concur is expected.
• Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools is necessary.
• Strong understanding and execution of Accounting Functions is required.
• Extensive experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is a must.
• Expertise in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is expected.
• A solid background in Auditing is necessary.
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is required.
• Proficiency in SAP is a must.
• Experience in leading Finance transformation initiatives is expected.
• Proven record of Business process improvement is necessary.
