Key Responsibilities of the Controller:
- Leadership & Team Development: Build, mentor, and scale a passionate finance team; foster a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
- Financial Reporting & Controls: Own month‑end close, GAAP reporting, and internal controls; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Oversight of accounting department operations: oversight of A/P, A/R and GL teams
- Technical Expertise: Assist with technical accounting matters, SOX compliance,
- Systems and process improvement: Implement and optimize ERP systems and reporting tools; drive automation of routine processes.
- Strategic Partnership: Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for the Executive Team; present clear, compelling business cases.
Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:
- Accounting Leader: CPA or equivalent; public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Management: 10 years' progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a higher level management role.
- Technical Savvy: Hands‑on with ERP implementations, advanced Excel modeling, and business intelligence platforms.
- Growth Mindset: Excited by rapid scale‑up; comfortable with ambiguity and driving process improvements during change.
- Environmental Passion: A genuine believer in sustainability; eager to integrate green metrics into financial decision‑making.
