Position: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Onsite in Edison, NJ
Industry: Import business, primarily freight trucking
Position Type: Temp-to-perm role
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year when converted

Job Description:

LHH is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to join our growing and busy team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable transactions and be proficient in Sage100 and Excel, including pivot tables. This role involves full cycle match, batch, and code processes, as well as handling ACH and wire transfers, some checks, and payroll services using Paychex and ADP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable transactions, including invoice allocation and cash disbursements analysis.

  • Process payroll with outside payroll companies and handle related summary detail processing.

  • Set up ACH and wire transfers through the bank portal with client approval.

  • Post pre-approved transactions from different departments.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and bookkeeping tasks.

  • Utilize Excel, Word, and Outlook for various tasks.

Skills Required:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Analytical, multi-tasking, and detail-oriented.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate's degree in accounting or related field.

  • Experience with Sage100 (or MAS 90) is a must.

  • Payroll experience with Paychex and ADP is a plus.

  • Bookkeeping and bank reconciliation experience is a plus.



Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year
