Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring *Quality* *Engineering* *in Clifton, NJ*
*Job Description:*
* Responsible for the identification and documentation of quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. Facilitates the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. Liaises with Customers and Quality engineering to develop formal written reports, and recommend corrective actions.
* Identifies trends in discrepancies and collaborates with process owners on the refinement and optimization of business processes.
* Oversees testing department activities and work of inspectors. Reviews, approves, and controls work order flow tags.
* Develops inspection techniques, tools, and supplemental inspection instructions in support of standards, methods and procedures.
* Participates in supplier corrective and preventative actions, including customer escapes, process nonconformities, supplier corrective actions, customer and change control, and material review board meetings.
*Roles and responsibilities: *
* Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
* Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.
* Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
* Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
* Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
* Support Fabrication and Integration of Space Flight Hardware and Software: tasks include Approve Work Authorization Documents.
* Support material review and corrective action system and Standard repair development and authorization
* Evaluate use of sampling methods, key characteristic data collection, and monitoring once the process, documentation, and personnel are stable.
* Continually evaluate contract performance, cost control, and customer satisfaction Support Acceptance Test and Qualification Test Procedure (ATP/QTP) failures.
* Ensure approved test procedures, Certificates of Conformance, or other contractually acceptable sell-off methods.
* Identify required quality records, including preparation and maintenance.
* Strong Root analysis skills and written communication skills
* Ensure team understanding of Quality procedures, requirements via briefings; Conduct program process audits as required.
* 6 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or equivalent
*Preferred:*
* Knowledge of J Standard 01 and 620
* Knowledge of AS9100D
This is a *12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire *opportunity.*
Pay Range:* *$75.00 - $81.42 per hour.*
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
